Remote learning is intended to give all students at Lansing Christian continuity of learning through high-quality education aligned with the school’s mission. It also allows us to collaborate as well as develop and enjoy Christian community when we cannot be together in person. Though we prioritize the importance of in-person learning, remote learning, when necessary, does offer unique opportunities to engage and transform the world for Jesus Christ as students live and learn with their families at home.

While we will do everything we can to make in-person, on-campus learning possible for our students, we will be prepared to move to remote learning, if necessary. Remote Learning would be required in the following scenarios:

  • The school will move to Remote Learning if the state is in Phases 1-3 of the Michigan Safe Start Plan.
  • A class will move to remote learning if a student or teacher tests positive for COVID-19 and must quarantine for a period of time.
  • An individual student will move to remote learning if that student becomes symptomatic, has been exposed to someone that tested positive, tests positive themselves for COVID-19, or is at a higher risk level because of their own compromised health or the compromised health of a family member.
