We are a private PreK through 12th grade learning community committed to the vision of equipping young men and women to engage and transform the world for Jesus Christ.
Serving others helps students gain a greater understanding of God’s world and develop a heart for His people. At each grade level students are empowered to apply knowledge and skills to produce real work that meets real needs for real people right here in our very own community and throughout the world.
In a time when many schools are reducing or eliminating art and music programs, LCS continues to offer a flourishing creative arts program. Educating the whole child prepares them for lives of worship and service to God. We do this by helping students understand, appreciate, and develop the many creative gifts that God has given them.
LCS provides a PreK through 12th grade athletic program that develops our student-athletes through education and competition. Working within our vision and core values, the athletic program provides a Christian foundation that allows our student-athletes the opportunity to grow personally and faithfully while enjoying a positive athletic experience. LCS participates in MHSAA Division IV / Class D athletics and offers elementary clubs and Pilgrim Play, a Saturday morning co-ed program designed to develop PreK through 5th grade skills in various sports while learning to play with a positive attitude.
LCS provides a rich kindergarten experience where students engage in developmentally appropriate learning experiences that develop reading, writing, math, science and problem solving skills, while also providing opportunities to engage in faith development.
FALL SPIRITUAL RETREAT
A valued tradition at LCS is the annual middle and high school Fall Retreat. Cultivating Christian community among our students and teachers is the focus of these two days away from school. Highlights include team-building activities, community worship, shared meals, time together enjoying the outdoors, campfires, volleyball tournaments, and the senior faith stories that are presented during high school chapel sessions.
Our exceptional faculty help create an engaging and nurturing environment where students can flourish as they discover and develop their God-given gifts and abilities. Our excellent education is founded upon three distinct fundamentals: #1 Active Faith, #2 Resources & Programs, and #3 Affordable Tuition.
VARIABLE TUITION is a need-based tuition assistance program that matches a family’s tuition rate to their unique financial situation. This makes a quality Christian education affordable to many qualified students who could not otherwise benefit from our school community.
